Propeller Club Norway — Connected by the sea — in 3D.

The challenge

The International Propeller Club brings together people across the maritime sector: shipping, ports, law, oil and gas. The Norwegian chapter needed a digital home that matches the level of the network — and that they can run themselves.

The site had to do two things at once: make a strong first impression on international members and partners, and work as a living tool for events, news and membership through the whole year.

What we did

  1. 01

    Concept and art direction

We built the story around the sea as the connector — “Connected by the sea”. Typography, colour and imagery are set up for an international, maritime tone without turning stiff.

  2. 02

    3D and interaction

An interactive 3D scene with models, depth and motion that responds to scrolling. Everything runs in the browser, with no heavy plugins or video to download.

  3. 03

    Structure for content

Events, journal, membership and student content each got their own templates, so the club can publish on its own — without a designer or developer.

  4. 04

    The same experience on mobile

3D simplifies where the device needs it, and the content stays readable. Effects must never get in the way of information.

What we built

  • Front page with an interactive 3D scene
  • Events and sign-up
  • Journal and news
  • Membership and joining
  • Student pages
  • Contact and network

Result

A site that is actively used: new events, news and blog posts are published continuously, and the club has a platform that holds up to international exposure.
