SEO: make your business easier to find

When someone searches for your service or product, your website should help them see that they've come to the right place. SEO, or search engine optimisation, is about helping people and search engines find, understand and use your content.

Start with the customer's real questions

Explain what you offer, who it's for, where you work and what the visitor can do next. A clinic may need a page for each treatment. A construction company can show its services and previous work. An online store needs useful categories and product descriptions. Good content answers real questions; it doesn't just repeat keywords.

Make the website easy to use

Clear page titles, logical navigation, relevant links and mobile-friendly pages help visitors find their way. Search engines also need to read and index the pages. That's why content and technical setup should be planned together.

Measure and improve over time

Google Search Console can show which searches lead to your site and whether pages have indexing problems. Also look at what visitors do after arriving: do they make contact, find a product or move on? SEO develops over time; it isn't a one-time switch. No one can promise a particular Google ranking.
